Perini Ranch Steakhouse

In 1983, Tom Perini decided to open a roadside steakhouse from an old converted barn on the Perini Ranch. Beef has been the center of the plate for Perini Ranch ever since.

For 40+ years, Perini Ranch Steakhouse has preserved the legacy of Cowboy Cooking with authenticity and elevated the experience with the highest quality beef, unmatched setting, and outstanding service. Menu staples include mesquite-grilled Certified Angus Beef steaks, fried catfish, green chile hominy and bread pudding. Fresh, seasonal dining options and cocktails create the perfect dining experience year-round.

In 1995, then-Governor George W. Bush hired Tom Perini to cater events, including a tailgate party at the Governor's Mansion for a University of Texas football game.

After George W. Bush took office as President of the United States of America, he asked Perini to cater the annual White House Congressional Picnic scheduled for the afternoon of September 11, 2001, to feed roughly 1,400 political figures and their families.

Tom and Lisa Perini were on the White House grounds setting up when the terrorist attacks unfolded on September 11, 2001. They could smell the smoke from the Pentagon after a plane struck it. The picnic was canceled, and at the request of the White House, Perini and his crew redirected their prepared food to feed firefighters and first responders at the Pentagon.

President Bush brought Tom Perini back to Washington the following year to successfully cater the rescheduled Congressional Picnic.
